Description:
I am a licensed psychologist in the State of Maryland practicing for over 30 years. I have advanced training and expertise in helping people navigate their way through life's difficulties, including such common sources of distress as depression and anxiety, medical problems, career and family conflicts, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and work stress. I am dedicated to helping people through difficult times and maximizing their potential to enjoy a successful and productive life.
Treatment methods:
I treat both children and adults with both trichotillomania (hair-pulling) and skin-picking using a combination of behavior modification, cognitive-behavior therapy and relaxation training. I also treat people with stress related disorders, including chronic pain, headache, irritable bowel disorder, anxiety and sleeping disorders using the above methods as well as biofeedback. From 1979-1994, I was the Co-Director of the Behavioral Medicine and Biofeedback Clinic at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.
